Leona A. Harmon, 86, of Fort Branch, peacefully
passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at her home with her children at her
side.
She was born on Dec. 22, 1927 in Francisco, to the
late Joseph and Dora (Morgan) Weber.
Leona was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church
in Fort Branch. She was a rerired LPN.
Besides her parents she is also preceded in death by four brothers, John,
Clarence, Louis, and Paul (infant) Weber, and 4 sisters, Helen Hoefling, and Nettie Sokeland,
Marie Dewig, and Frances Weber
She is survived by four children, Sherry Allen of
Evansville, Mark Harmon of Evansville, Lisa Harmon of Evansville, and Chris
Harmon of Denver, Colo. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted on
Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Cross Church in Fort Branch,
with Fathers Tony Ernst and Brian Emmick the
celebrants. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Apr. 15, 2014 from
3-8 p.m. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on
Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, and again from 9 a.m. until service time at the
church on Wednesday.
