Robert “Jerry” Greenwell, 74, of Princeton
passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
He was born on Sept. 19, 1939 in Morganfield, Ky. to
Joseph and Caroline (Wathen) Greenwell, both deceased.
He served in the communications division in the U.S.
Army and was retired from Hansens and Greenwell Auto
Body. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed woodworking and
painting.
He is survived by his wife Mary Greenwell; seven children:
Lee Anna Roll, Huntingburg, Diana (Alec) Denbo, San
Antonio, Joedy (Carrie) Greenwell, Princeton, Greg (Kelle) Greenwell, Princeton, Mary (Darrell) Parker,
Evansville, Richard (Janet) Greenwell, Ft. Branch and Robert Greenwell,
Evansville; sister Lucy Gaston; five brothers Henry, John, Lonnie, Ronnie and
Maxie Greenwell; 18 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and beloved
companion his dog Jack.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight
siblings including: sisters Jeanette Meeks, Virginia Gray, Betty Jean Grubb and
brother Tom Greenwell.
Graveside Services will be held at 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Princeton, officiated
by Father Ronald Zgunda.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home. Family and friends will go in procession to the cemetery.
