Ernest Darrell Stephens, 61, of Princeton passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.

He was born on May 16, 1952 in Vincennes, IN to Claude and Dorothy (Rudy) Stephens.

He lived in Princeton for 32 years. He retired from Johnson Mowing. He was a member of the Tri-State Tractor Pulling Assoc. 

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dottye Stephens of Princeton; his father, Claude Stephens of Linton; 5 children, B.J. Stephens (Cindy Moseby) of Princeton, Tamera Dawson of South Carolina, David Stephens of Indianapolis, Tim Stephens of Somerville, TN, and Angela Dean (Jason) of Newburgh; 21 grandchildren; 3 great granddaughters; 7 brothers, Kenny, Charles, Floyd, Everrett, Kaven, Jesse and Shane Stephens; and 1 sister, Claudia Wright. 

He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Terry Stephens; and 2 sisters, Jessica Marie and Elizabeth Ann. 

There will be a Celebration of Life Dinner at 5 PM (CST) on Thursday, March, 6, 2014 at the Gibson County Fair Ground Activities Building in Princeton. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is assisting the family.
