James Leon Maikranz, 79, formerly of Owensville, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Odessa, Texas.

 He was born Feb. 5, 1935 in Owensville the son of Doyle and Edith Helen (Wilson) Maikranz.

 Jim graduated from Owensville High School class of 1953, attended Lockyear Business College and served in the United States Air Force. After serving his country, Jim resided in Odessa working for 3-Way Construction as the office manager.

 Jim is survived by two brothers, Ken (Martha) of Princeton and Roger (Jane) Maiakranz of Sarasota, FL; nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill and Donald; sister, Nancy Rose Maikranz.

 A memorial graveside service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Owensville Cemetery with the Rev. Rex Charles officiating. Holders Funeral Home is handling the local arrangements.
