Bonita Kaye (Ping) John, 52, passed away on Friday,
March 7, 2014 at her residence following a long battle with breast cancer.
She was born June 8, 1961 in Decatur, IL the
daughter of William F. and Mary Beth (Barry) Ping.
Bonnie was a 1979 graduate of Gibson Southern High
School.
She married the love of her life, Kelly Wilson John,
April 5, 1980.
She went to college at Wabash Valley and became a
registered nurse. She worked for 15 years for Dr. Krishna Murthy at Deaconess
Clinic in Princeton. However, the job she was most proud of was being a beloved
wife and loving mother. She was a member of the Cynthiana United Methodist
Church. Survivors included her husband, Kelly; sons,
Dylan Boone (Angie), Dustin Squire (Kristen) and Nickolas Franklin (Katie)
John; 5 grandchildren, Natalie Henson, Adam Bilderback,
Isabel, Silas and Liam John; father, William F. Ping; siblings, Barry L. (Lisa)
Ping, Beth Ann (Joel) Spielman, Susan Raney, Scott W.
(Pat) Ping and Carla J. Braselton; aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews
and great-nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother in
January 2009. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. Jim Summers officiating. Burial
will be in the Highland Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be on Tuesday March 11, from 4-8
p.m. at the funeral home.
