Rosalee
Heiden, 91 of Princeton passed away Tuesday Feb. 25,
2014 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
She was born July 21, 1922 in Oakland City, IN to
Edward and Mabel (Rainey) Simpson.
She had lived in Princeton for the past 50 years
moving here from Oakland City.
She graduated from Wood Memorial High School and Lockyears
Business College. She worked for the Department of Commerce in Washington D.C.,
the Treasurer’s office in Gibson County and a number of other places. She was a
licensed real estate broker having worked at W&F Realty before starting her
own business. She was a very good seamstress and loved to play poker and was
very good at it.
She is survived by a son Gary J. (Connie) Heiden of
Collinsville, OK; grandchildren Matthew (Tina) Heiden
of Tennessee, John (Heidi) Heiden of Collinsville,
OK, 5 great grandchildren, sister Edna Hopper of Oakland City and a brother
Lewis Simpson of Oakland City, her very good friend, Elnora Linxwiler
with whom she had lived for the past 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph Heiden in 1988, sister Marjorie
Hope and brother Edward Simpson.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday March 4, 2014 at the Colvin Funeral
Home in Princeton with Rev. Robert McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in
Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.
Visitation was from 4 until 7 p.m. Saturday March 1,
2014 at the Colvin Funeral Home.
