Leora E. Smith, 97 passed away Tuesday January 28, 2014 at her home in Princeton.

She was born December 13, 1916, in Baldwin Heights Princeton to Robert and Edith (Bruce) Resler

She was a homemaker and a mother. She moved back to Princeton in 2002 after previously living in South Carolina and southern California. She was a member of the Church of God in Princeton. She taught cooking to the Girl Scouts and the handicapped. At the age of 65 she received her high school diploma from Redlands High School in Redlands CA. and she walked up to receive her degree. 

She is survived by her children, Louann Staley of Owensville; Mary Edd Wilder of Princeton; Edward Jack Smith of South Carolina and James Jo Smith of CA; sister-in-law, Ruby Resler of Princeton, many grandchildren, many great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Edward T. Smith in 1975, her second husband Haskell Smith in 2005, a daughter Leanna Smith and three brothers, Jessie A. Denzil A. and John R. Resler

Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday Jan. 30 2014 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with her son Edward Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
