Edna McClellan age 90, of Princeton, passed away on
Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Waters of Princeton.
She was born September 24, 1923, in Princeton, IN to
Eugene & Anna Stewart Knight, both of whom precede.
She worked as the secretary at the former Evangel
Temple Church and also as a sales clerk in the catalog department at Sears and
Roebuck of Princeton, IN. She was then a librarian at the Princeton Public
Library before retiring.
She was married to Philogene
McClellan on March 1, 1942 in Evansville, IN. Mr
McClellan preceded her in death on January 27, 2007.
Edna is survived by sons, George (Susan) McClellan
of Bowling Green, KY and Mitch (Vicki) McClellan of Princeton, IN, daughters,
Gail McClellan of Boston, MA and Clancy McClellan of Evansville, IN. Other
survivors include grandchildren, Michelle (Johnathan) James, Brian (Rachael)
McClellan, Mary Williams, Bill King, Keava (Mark)
Workman, Ian (Jodi) McClellan and great grandchildren, Breana, Ella, Kathie
Beth, Abagail, Caroline, Wyatt, Tyler & Brayson. Survivors also include Granddog,
Sophie and Grandcat, Mollie.
Edna is preceded in death by parents, husband
Philogene, brothers, Roy and Frederick Knight and sisters, Pearl Phillips and
Mabel Morris and grandson Scott McClellan.
Funeral service will be on Monday January 20, 2014
beginning at 2:00 P.M. at Doyle Funeral Home, located at 520 S. Main St.,
Princeton, IN. Services will begin with prayer and then proceed to Columbia
White Church Cemetery, where a graveside service will take place with Pastor
Ian McClellan officiating.
