Jeffery Fred Krieg, 49, passed away at his home in
Sunnyvale, CA on January 12, 2014.
He was born April 4, 1964 in Carbondale, IL to Fred
Krieg and Deanna (Callis) Krieg Sutter.
He is survived by a son, Grant (Emma) Krieg of
Austin TX; his parents, Fred and Ann Krieg of Kernersville, NC. Deanna and Jim
Sutter of Princeton, IN ; brothers, Trent (Amy) Krieg of Evansville, IN. Aaron
(Kelly) Sutter of Fishers, IN; a sister, Kimberly Krieg of Barcelona, Spain;
his grandmother, Margaret (Callis) Mason; two nieces
Dacia and Hayley Krieg of Princeton. He is also survived by two feline
companions which he loved very much Ralph and Bodie.
He was very active in 4-H and raced flat track
motorcycles as a youth. He never outgrew his love for motorcycles. Jeff
graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 1982 and from University Of
Evansville with BS in Electrical Engineering. He started his career at Crane
Naval Depot Crane, IN. While at Crane he was a major contributor to research
papers presented at Nuclear and Space Effect Conferences (NSREC). He then took
a position at Loral Space Systems in Palo Alto, CA as a Space Environment
Engineer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents,
Clarence and Altha Krieg, Lawrence Callis and a baby sister, Rhea D. Krieg.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February
1.2014 at 2:00 pm. at Bethel Memorial Church in Princeton, IN with Rev. Austin
Odom officiating. Visitation will be from Noon until the service time.
