John T. Hollen, 77, of
Princeton passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital in
Evansville.
He was born on January 21, 1936 in Princeton, IN to
Porter and Myrtle (Coomer) Hollen
and lived in Gibson County all his life.
He retired in 1996 as a signal maintainer from
C.S.X. Railroad after 38 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad
Signalman Union Local #25. He was a veteran of the US Army and he was a member
of the Patoka United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening and yard work.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sue Hollen of
Princeton; daughter, Melissa Hollen and her fiancé,
Spencer Gaines both of Princeton; sisters, Peggy Schaber
of English and Donna Helsley of English; brother,
Rev. Joe Hollen of English; several nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maxine Skinner; and infant
siblings, Janet and Jerry Hollen.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Jeff Pinney.
Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Saturday at
Colvin Funeral Home.
