Gary Lee Wirey passed away December 12, 2013 after being hit by a car in the Woodlands, Texas.

He was born in Pike County, Indiana on October 12, 1933; the eldest son of Gerald and Norma Grubb Wirey.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in Vincennes, Indiana and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Geology from Indiana University. He worked in the Oil and Gas industry in Indiana, New Orleans, and Houston for many years before retiring to Walden on Lake Conroe. Gary enjoyed playing golf, traveling and RV motoring around the country, and being a gentleman farmer on the Family Tree Farm in Newton, Texas. 

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Emily Ann, two daughters, LeAnn Wirey of San Antonio, Gail Graham and husband Mark of Magnolia, Texas and two grandchildren, Brandon Lee Ferguson and Brittany Ann Graham. Also surviving are his brother Rick Wirey and wife Malinda of Washington, Indiana and a sister Jerry Ann Jones of Vincennes, Indiana. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Margaret Wirey. 

A visitation will be held at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, Indiana on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 4 - 7 P.M. Services will be at 10 A.M. on Friday December 20, 2013 with burial to follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
