Jean Wilson,
85 of Princeton, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at Good Samaritan Home in
Oakland City.
She was born
July 10, 1928 in Carrier Mills, Illinois to Jeff and Goldie Mae (Hunt)
Aldridge and
had resided in Princeton since 1962, coming from Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was
a graduate of Lockyear’s College. She was a member of
Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton. She was a Master Gardener and a
former member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Princeton Country Club and several
bowling leagues. She and her husband, Del Wilson were co-founders of Gibson
Lanes in Princeton.
Jean is
survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Dorinda
Wilson of Princeton; extended family, Brad (Lee Ann) Wilson of Princeton; a
sister, Donna (Jim) Litherland of Mt. Carmel; several
step children and grandchildren.
She was
preceded in death by her parents; husband, Del Wilson on Dec. 1, 1981 and a
sister, Clara Jo Aldridge.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home
in Princeton, with Rev. Chris Neikirk officiating.
Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation
will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
