Donald W. Maikranz, 73, passed away Saturday, Dec.28, 2013 at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville.

He was born on July 10, 1940 in Owensville the son of Doyle and Edith Helen (Wilson) Maikranz.

Donald graduated from Owensville High School class of 1958, served in the United States Air Force, was a meat cutter for Joe's Red and White, K-Mart Food Stores and Mt. Carmel Red and White. He is a member of the Owensville United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post 51 and the Hallmark Collectors Club.

Survivors include his brothers, James of Odessa, TX, Ken (Martha) Princeton and Roger (Jane) Maikranz of Sarasota, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bill and sister, Nancy Rose Maikranz.

Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home with the Rev. Rex Charles officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery with military rite conducted by American Legion Post 51.

Visitation will be from Noon until the service time at the funeral home.
