Imogene Hughes, 82, of Princeton, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 19,
2013 at her home in Princeton.
She was born January 22, 1931 in Princeton, IN to Wayman and Livola (Russell)
Stewart.
She was a member of Wayman
Chapel AME Church in Princeton. She loved flowers and gardening. She also loved
to cook and spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her 4 children, Keith (Phyllis) Hughes of Newburgh, Myra Moorer of Atlanta, GA, Timothy Hughes (Dawn Opipari) of Princeton and Jason (Donna) Hughes of
Evansville; 3 grandchildren, Dana and Jessica Moorer
and Mia Sheriff; 4 great grandchildren, Ke-Ayra
Woodard, Mi-Kyla Sheriff, Jonah Sheriff and Chaundice Sheriff; and 2 sisters, Lola Gordon of Vincennes
and Lenora (Jack) Cole of Pleasant Prairie, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Hughes in 2000;
brother, Milburn Stewart; sister, Marie Morris; son-in-law, Duane Moorer; and a grandson, Duane Moorer
Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the
Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Arthur Cortez officiating. Burial
will be in the Sand Hill Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Friday at
the Colvin Funeral Home.
