Andrew Hughen, 13 of Princeton, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013
at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
He was born
March 15, 2000 in Breese, Illinois and had resided in Princeton for the past 11
years.
He was a
sweet, smart, funny, caring boy. His mom and dads
pride and joy; he was his moms special helper at the shop where all knew his
warm, friendly face. Andrew enjoyed time with his family, especially trips to
Florida. His brothers were buddies and loved to give him a hard time. He was an
8th grader at Princeton Community Middle School and attended New Life Church of
the Nazarene in Princeton. Andrew ran cross country, played baseball and
enjoyed XBox, computers and paintball. He also
enjoyed hunting with his dad. He was a great student and was liked by peers.
Andrew brought much joy to his family. He will be greatly missed until united
in heaven.
Andrew is
survived by his loving parents, Michelle and Tony Hughen
of Princeton; 2 brothers, Matt and Jacob Hughen both
at home; maternal grandparents, Dr. Larry and Barbara Lane of Oklahoma;
paternal grandparents, Floyd and Von Hughen of
Oklahoma; aunts and uncles, Kevin and Barb Lane, Steve and Mya Lane, Debbie
Roberts and Dale Roberts; cousins, Colby and Parker Roberts, Ryan, Christen,
Kaylyn, Brandon and Taylor Lane.
Funeral
services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at New Life Church of
the Nazarene, 328 E. Emerson St. in Princeton, with Pastor Gary Mulholland and
Rev. Andrew Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church
Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation
will be from 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and again
from 9 – 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
