Carolyn J.
Hill, 73, passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at her residence, after a hard
fought battle with cancer.
She was born
October 22, 1940, in Princeton, Indiana, to the late Fred C. and Naomi (Skelton)
Davidson.
She was a
graduate of Mt. Olympus High School, Oakland City College, and Indiana State
University. She was a retired teacher from the Pike County School Corporation,
teaching there for 27 years. She enjoyed antiques, spending time in her yard,
and was an avid UK Basketball fan.
She is
survived by her husband of 53 years, Vesper Hill; a son, Brent Hill of
Evansville; and two grandsons, Alex and Austin Hill.
The family
would like to thank all the caregivers at the Oncology Hematology Association
of Southwest Indiana and Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral
Services will be held at 10 a.m. CST Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Wes Garris
officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Community Cemetery, in Union, Indiana.
Visitation
will be from 5 – 7 p.m. CST Tuesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
