Juanita Rose
Dyer, 85, of Princeton, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9,
2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
She was the
daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Decker and Hattie (Miller) Decker.
Juanita was a graduate of Princeton High School and Lockyear
Business College. She held various positions with businesses in town, and retired
in 1992 after 19 years as the secretary in the Guidance Office at Princeton
Community High School. Juanita was an active volunteer in numerous civic
groups, in the Broadway Christian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, Gibson
County Extension Homemakers, Coterie, Daughters of the Nile, The Red Hat
Society and served as President of the Gibson General Hospital Auxiliary.
Juanita is
survived by her children, Richard Dyer (Mickey) of Arkansas, Sharon Loyd (Tom) also of Arkansas, Brian Dyer (Karen) of Terre
Haute, Kevin Dyer of Princeton, James Robert Dyer (Typhanye)
of Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson.
She was
preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James E. Dyer, Jr.
Funeral
Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. John Dunn officiating. Visitation will be
from noon until service time on Saturday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
