Mary M. Wiest, 88 of Princeton died peacefully on Monday, Nov.25,
2013 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.
She was born
Feb. 28, 1925 to William C. and Carrie E. (Belcher) Hogg.
Mary had
worked at DeVoe and Reynolds as a brush maker. She
later worked at Danner’s 3D Department Store, where she worked for several
years. She had been a volunteer at the former Forest Del Nursing Home in
Princeton, where she was named Volunteer of the Year. She attended Columbia
General Baptist Church in Princeton.
She is survived
by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Jean and Gilbert Kirby of Princeton;
brother, Billie Joe Hogg of Princeton; 3 grandchildren, Angela Moore (Jimmy
Key) of Evansville, Jennifer (Neal) Boughton of
Evansville and Crystal (Robert) Sherman of Liberty Twp., OH; 3 great
grandchildren, Tyler (Kayce) Moore, Ryan Moore and
Elena Boughton; 2 great-great grandchildren, Aiden
and Callie Moore; and a niece and nephew.
She was
preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Leo Wiest
in 1987.
Funeral
services will be at 12 noon Friday Nov. 29, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home in
Princeton with Rev. Scott Burr officiating. Burial will follow at the Columbia
“White Church” Cemetery.
Visitation
will be from 11 AM until service time on Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
The family
would like to thank the staff at the River Oaks Health Campus for kindness and
care extended, also to Dr. Bruce Brink Jr., Brinks Family Practice and Southern
Care Hospice for all the wonderful service thru the years.
