David E. Ruckman, 89 of Hazleton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6,
2013 at The Waters of Princeton.
He was born
Nov. 13, 1923 in Patoka to Otis and Eva Mae (Turpin) Ruckman,
both deceased.
He lived in
the area his entire life and was a retired butcher after having worked for 36
years at Emge Packing Co. He was a veteran of the U.
S. Army during WW II.
He is
survived by 2 daughters, Cindy (Alvin) Peach of Princton
and Sandy (Terry) Keehn of Patoka; 6 grandchildren,
Michael (Roxanne) Peach, Chasity (Aaron) Morris, Shannon (Ben) Wilson, Josh
White (fiancee’ Dana Marley), Rachael (J J) Johnson
and Nathan (Ally) Keehn; 12 great grandchildren; and
special friends, Dan and Joy Peach.
He was
preceded in death by his wife, Ella E. “Jean” Ruckman
on Nov. 22, 2011.
Graveside
services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013 at Oak Hill Cemetery in
Patoka, with Rev. William Morris and Rev. Tony Friedman officiating. Burial
will follow.
Visitation
will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Family
and friends will gather at the funeral home on Sunday to go in procession to
the cemetery. Military rites will be held at the cemetery by Retired Military
Veterans.
