Charles
Gordon McKinney, 85, passed away Friday, Nov. 22, 2013 at Transcendent
Healthcare in Owensville.
Charles was
born August 20, 1928 to William Alvis and Ada
McKinney near Oakland City, Indiana.
Charles
retired from Alcoa in 1993 after working 29 years. After he retired he spent
many hours in his work shop making rocking chairs, gliders, porch swings and he
enjoyed spending time on the river fishing and telling fish stories.
Charles
leaves behind, daughter, Linda (Rev. Glen) Hamer of
Mitchell, IN, grandson, Eric (Bev) Hamer; daughter,
Brenda Pinnell of Oakland City, IN, grandson, Jeremy
(Christy) Pinnell, granddaughter, Andrea (Robert) Fallowfield; daughter, Tambra
(Mike) DeLong of Plant City, FL, granddaughter, Jessica; daughter, Stacy
(Edward) Bolt of Alamogordo, NM, granddaughter, Amanda; sisters-in-law, Mrs.
Carl (Waneta) McKinney and Mrs. Ray (Janice) McKinney
and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceding
him in death were his parents; daughter, Donna Kay; sister, Geneva; brothers,
Carl and Ray and son-in-law, Gerald Pinnell.
Funeral
services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2013 at Colvin Funeral Home in
Princeton, with Rev. Glen Hamer officiating. Burial
will follow at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.
Visitation
will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday at Colvin Funeral Home.
The family

friendship Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville provided Charles. We would
also like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their
wonderful care and support through Charles final journey.
