Joyce (Wallace) Gardner, 85, passed away on Thursday Nov. 28, 2013 in Evansville.

She was born Feb. 6, 1928 in Ft. Branch, IN the daughter of James Wesley and Maude Durham Wallace.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, J.C. Gardner; 3 children, Randa (Dean) Higginbotham, Leanne (Tom) Metz and Bret (Kathy) Gardner; 7 grandchildren, Rachel (Jeff) Ennis, David (Barbara) Higginbotham, Rebecca (Andy) Harper, Daniel (Stacey) Higginbotham, Andrea Gardner, Greg (Emily) Gardner, Chris (Jenna) Metz; 12 great-grandchildren, Maddie and Meredith Ennis, Olivia Schmitt-Metz, Addison Metz, Ella, Evelyn, Elin Harper, Claire, Gwen, Collin Higginbotham, Kelton Sokeland, Corbin Gardner; brothers, Carl, Rex and Don Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Donald Rex Gardner; brothers, Aubrey, James, Troy, Paul and Glen Wallace.

Private visitation and service will be Monday Dec. 2, 2013 at 10:30 at Holders Funeral Home with the Rev. Marge Woods officiating. Burial will be in the Mauck Cemetery.
