Jerry Ray Besing 77, of Oakland City, entered rest on Saturday at
Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.
He was born on January 16, 1936 in Buckskin,
IN to Norman and Thelma (Grimwood) Besing.
Jerry was married to Ramona Marlene Besing for 50 years and she preceded him in death along
with parents, brother Donald Besing
and sister Norma Lee Wallace.
He was a Veteran of United States Marine Corp
and retired as a construction worker and laborer from Laborer’s Union local #
561. Jerry also had a lawn mowing business with the help of his Sons and
Grandsons. After retirement he enjoyed
helping others and attending his grandson’s ballgames. He was a lifelong member
of St. John’s Church of Buckskin.

sons: Michael E. (Becky) Lenart of Powell Wyoming and Jeffrey S. Besing
of Palestine, IL, Victor G. and Kelly J. Besing of
Oakland City, IN. Brothers: Larry Paul
(Judy) Besing of Elberfeld,
IN, Jimmy (Beverly) Besing of Evansville, IN. Sister: Doris Jean Campbell of Oakland City,
IN. Grandchildren: Kristina R. Naney, Gavin S., Christopher J., Trenton J., Koleton J. and Dylan R. Besing. (3) Great Grandchildren.
Services
will be Wednesday 1:00 P.M. at St. John’s Church of Buckskin with burial in
church cemetery.
Rev. Jason
Ford will be officiating. Visitation
will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel. And from
noon until services on Wednesday at the Church.
