Carol Jean Harper, 88, of Mayfield, Kentucky and formerly of Poseyville, Indiana, born to James and Opal (Beloat) Burton on August 19, 1925, in Princeton, Indiana, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013, at Mills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mayfield, Kentucky.

Surviving are her sons: Walter Estes (Debbie) Harper, Jr. of Ft. Branch, Indiana, Eugene (Debbie) Harper of Owensville, Indiana, Robert (Brenda) Harper of Evansville, Indiana and John (Lynn) Harper of Evansville, Indiana; daughters: Janet Fleener of Owensville, Indiana, Barbara Riley of Cynthiana, Indiana and Carolyn (Johnnie) Matheny of Mayfield, Kentucky; brother: Russell (Clara) Burton of Princeton, Indiana; 19 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband of 54 years: Walter Estes Harper, Sr.; infant daughter: Diana Joyce Harper; brothers: George & John Mitchell and a sister: Rozella Henry.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at the Werry Funeral Home in Poseyville, Indiana with burial to follow in Saulmon Cemetery. Brother Jeff Mobley officiating

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at the funeral home.
