Dorotha
Beauchamp, 96, formerly of Oakland City, Indiana passed away on Monday, October
14, 2013 in Covington, Tennessee where she resided since 2005.
She was born
October 14, 1917 in Oakland City to Clyde and Mabel (Roberts) Reid.
She had been
a Foster Grandparent for the child care program at Oakland City First General
Baptist Church, where she was a member. She had worked as a clerk for the town
of Oakland City and had been a telephone operator for offices in Princeton and
Oakland City for many years.
She is
survived by her daughter-in-law, LeEtta (Corn)
Beauchamp; grandchildren, Gwen Beauchamp, Tony (Connie) Beauchamp, Susan
Russell and her children, Esther, Logan (Melissa) and Sawyer, Melisa Troy and
her children, Nathan, Bailey, Emily, T.J. and Jesilyn;
and her great-great grandchildren, Dominick, Jazymn
and Jayden.
She was
preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred L. Beauchamp; and son, Fred E.
Beauchamp on April 10, 2013, grandson-in-law, Steve Russell and brother, Glen
Reid.
Funeral
Services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday October 18, 2013 at Corn-Colvin Funeral
Home in Oakland City, with Rev. Gary Watson officiating. Burial will follow in
the Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.
Visitation
will be from 4 until 8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
