Byron W. Young, 76 of Mt. Carmel, formerly of
Princeton, passed away Saturday Sept. 28, 2013, at his home.
He was born Sept. 9, 1937 in Princeton to Glendon Ray and Beatrice (Robling)
Young. He retired from Chrysler Corp. in St. Louis in 1991 after 35 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt.
Carmel. He served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a son, James “Jay” Young of St.
Louis; two daughters, Sherri Martin of St. Louis and Sheila Pflug
of Princeton; brother Ron Young of Selvin; and sister
Lois Whitten of Princeton; four grandchildren, Alissa, Ashley, Haley and C. J.;
a great-grandson, Nathaniel; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers
Butch, Gary and Bill Young.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2,
2013, at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow in the
Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time
on Wednesday at the funeral home.
