Lillian E. “Lil Bruce” Pinkston, 85,
of Princeton passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 at Cypress Grove in Newburgh.
She was born Sept. 25, 1927 in Mt.
Carmel, Ill. to William and Eva (Wiley) Bruce.
She was a member of Hillside United
Methodist Church in Princeton. She was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi-Omega
Master, Cosmos, Coterie, Green Thumb Garden Club, life member of Indiana
Veterinary Medical Assoc. Aux., life member of the American Veterinary Medical
Assoc. Aux., Women’s International Bowling Congress, Princeton Women’s Bowling
Assoc., Ladies Golf Assoc., Tuesday Intercessors Prayer Group, Order of Eastern
Star, Prime Time Plus, and life member of VFW Aux.
She is survived by stepson Fred
William (Vickie) Pinkston of Lake St. Louis, MO and stepdaughter Rebecca Sue
(Harry) Wedel of Evansville, five grandchildren Chad, Jason & Aaron
Pinkston, Millicent Carroll and Amanda Bryant; 10 great grandchildren and five
nieces.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and by her husband R. Harvey “Doc” Pinkston on February 6, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 2
p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with
Pastor Chris Neikiek officiating. Burial will be in
the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from noon until
service hour Thursday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
