Carol Sue Jones, 74, of Owensville, passed away Thursday, September 26 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

She was born on October 3, 1938, to Robert W. and Virginia (Houchins) Douglas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one infant grandson, Joel David Blaize.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family, friends, and Southern Gospel music. Carol was a member of First General Baptist Church of Owensville.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Warren E. Jones, daughters, Jennifer (Dale) Crisp, of Fort Branch, and Lisa (Larry) Blaize, of Allendale, Ill.; brother, Bob Douglas, of Owensville; five grandchildren, Erin Lanthrip, Laura Rainey, Jonathan Blaize, Kelly Crisp, and Caitlin Crisp; and one great-grandson, Ian Lanthrip.

Public graveside service at 3 p.m on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Blythe Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Bob Douglas will officiate.
