John F. Spindler,
91, of Haubstadt passed away Aug. 24, 2013 at Deaconess Hospice in Evansville.
He was born to the late Adam and Theresa (Wannemiller) Spindler Feb. 17,
1922 in Haubstadt.
He was retired from Emge
Meat Packing Aug. 31, 1987, a WWII Army veteran, a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Knights of St John
#345, Haubstadt Sommerfest Inc., St Vincent DePaul,
Haubstadt American Legion # 194, VFW Post #2714 in Fort Branch.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Olivia
Ruth Spindler on May 26, 2007, a child and six
brothers and sisters.
He is survived by children, Diana (Larry)
Beatty of Haubstadt, David (Carolyn) Spindler of
Indianapolis, Janet (James) Bryant of Evansville, Jerry (Kathleen) Spindler of Greenwood, and Gregory (Cynthia) Spindler of Indianapolis and sister, Rita Reidford of Poseyville.
Grandchildren Aaron and Alan Beatty, Christa Keller, John, Adam and Matthew Spindler, Chad Bryant, Joshua, Kimberley, and Kristin Spindler, Mary Beth, Alexander,and
Noah Spindler, and Step grandchild, Dawn Reagan.
Great grandchildren, Gretchen, Kaleb, and Cooper Beatty, Courtney, Carly,
and Carson Keller, Ryan and Owen Spindler, Amelia Spindler, and step great grandchild, Rylee Billups.
A Mass of Christian Burial for John will be
Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Sts Peter
and Paul Catholic Church Father Tony Ernst and Father Brian Emmick
Celebrants, with burial in the church cemetery. Military Services will be
conducted by the VFW Post #2714 and American Legion Post #194 at the grave
site.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013
from 3 to 8 p.m. at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort
Branch with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. and again at the church from 9 a.m. till time
of service.
