Alvin Lloyd Sisson 84 a longtime resident of Oakland City, IN entered rest on Sunday August 18, 2013 in Evansville, IN.

He was born on August 4, 1929 in Coe, IN to Esley and Lillian (Aldag) Sisson

He graduated from Oakland City High School and was a 1958 graduate of Oakland City College. He taught school in Griggsville,IL for one year, then returned to Oakland City to mine coal for remainder of his working career. Alvin was member of Forsythe United Methodist Church and U.M.W. A. He retired from Old Ben Company in 1988.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Esley Sisson Jr.

H is survived by his wife: Sara Joan Sisson; daughters:   Zenda (Terry) White of Newburgh, IN; Kim (Doug) Grismore of Mooresville, IN; Shannon (Kevin) Rock of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren: Khali White, Shandli (Brad) Joyce, Andrew (Katy) Grismore Emily Grismore, Cade, Jensen Rock.

Services will be 10:00 Thursday  August 22, 2013 at Forsythe United  Methodist Church with burial in  Forsythe Cemetery. Rev. Charles Gipson officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the chapel and at the church from 9:00 A.M. until services on Thursday
