Oleva M Helsley, 87, of Princeton
passed away Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.
She was born Jan. 31, 1926 in Pike County to
Willard and Nannie (Snyder) McClure.
She lived in Princeton since 1979 moving
there from Oakland City.
She was a member of the First General Baptist
Church in Princeton and the Livewire Sunday School Class. She worked for Gibson
General Hospital in the Dietary Dept and retired in
1989.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay (Tom)
Church of Ruston, La.; two sons, Gary (Betty) Helsley
of Princeton and Stanley (Pam) Helsley of Petersburg;
two granddaughters, Tonya (Scott) Duggan of Ruston, La. and Stephanie (Brad)
West of Princeton; step grandson, Scott Lee of Elkhart; three great
grandchildren, Storm Ray and Noah Braden West and Kelsey Renea
Duggan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
four brothers, Andrew, Bertis, Haskell and Hilbert
McClure; and a sister, Ruth Fritts.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m.
Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Terryl Almond and Pastor Brad Keenan officiating. Burial
will be in the New Liberty Cemetery in Coe.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on
Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
