Phyllis A. Hedge, 72 of Patoka, passed away
from this life to go be with God on Aug. 14, 2013 with her family by her
side.
She was born July 1, 1941 in Patoka to
Richard and Bertha Belcher who preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Patoka High School
Class of 1959 and had resided in Patoka her whole life. She was a member of
Patoka Presbyterian Church where she loved her church and church family. She
was happiest when spending time with family and friends and attending
grandchildren’s activities. She was an amazing, always smiling and loving wife,
mother, grandmother and great grandmother…not just to her family but to friends
as well. She had been employed by the Princeton Telephone Company and
Gibson General Hospital.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54
years, Larry E. Hedge. They were married on Aug. 1, 1959 in Patoka. Also, one
son, Richard (Carol) Hedge of Lawrenceville, Ill. and two daughters, Pam
Hartley of Evansville and Rebecca (Martin) Miller of Warrenton, Mo. There are
five grandchildren – Joshua Hartley, Matthew Almond, Tasha Adams, Truly Miller
(Dave) Chastain and Courtney Hedge; and eight great grandchildren – Jessica,
Landon, Jayden, Nevaeh, Skyla, Kaydense, Jack and
Blake. Also, two sisters – Martha (Edward) Partyka
of West Chicago, IL and Patti (Jerry) Wildt of
Princeton. Also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. William
Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka.
Visitation will be from 3 until 7 p.m. Friday
at Colvin Funeral Home.
