James W. Ritcheson,
61, of 218 W. 3rd, Hazelton, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013
at his residence.
He was born August 25, 1925 in Florida to
James E. and Betty R. (Lindsay) Richardson.
Jim worked in Quality Control at Crane Naval
Base. A veteran, Jim served in the Army, being stationed in Korea. He belonged
to the V.F.W. in Princeton, and enjoyed collecting knives, guns, and was an
avid motorcyclist.
Surviving is his wife Betty, whom he married
April 23, 1999; his children, Adam Ritcheson of
Washington, Heath Ritcheson of Vincennes, Michael
Morrison of Vincennes, and Justin (Frieda) Morrison of Vincennes; sisters, Mary
E. (John) Steelman of Patoka, Marcia Tracy of
Vincennes, Margaret (Robert) Dick of Morrisville; a brother, Robert (Cathy) Ritcheson of Hazelton; his grandchildren, Hadleigh Ritcheson, Ezeckial Morrison; his step grandchildren, Taner and Taylee Gardner, Josie
Greer, several nieces and nephew, and his beloved dog, Sugar.
He was preceded in death by his parents,
James E Ritcheson, and Betty and Charles Dyehouse, and an infant son, James Ritcheson.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. E.D.T.
Tuesday July 23, 2013 at Gardner- Brockman Chapel. Per his wishes he will be
cremated afterwards. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. E.D.T.
