Ellisville, Mo. — Mary V. Stephens, 94, formerly of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013

 

She was born to Estella Mae and Leander Henson of Piedmont, Mo. May 15, 1919 and lived most of her life in St. Louis. While Living in Princeton she was active in her church and the Pink Ladies Auxiliary of Gibson General Hospital.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles, brothers Willis Henson, Bertis Henson and sister Hazle Weier all of Piedmont and sister Helen Drury of St. Louis. 

 

She is survived by a daughter Patricia(Albert) Molinet of St. Louis, son James (Kay) Stephens of Princeton, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

 

Funeral services are Friday, June 7, at 10 a.m. at Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin, Mo. with Dr. Paul Newland Officiating. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 6.

Beloved wife of the late Charles Stephens. Loving mother of Patricia A. (Jake) Molinet and James (Kay) Stephens of Princeton, IN. Grandmother of Tecia Philip and Michelle (Brian) Bladl. Great-grandmother of Alex Philip, Ashley Philip and Julianna Bladl. Daughter of the late Leander and Estella Henson. Sister of the late Bert Henson, Willis Henson, Hazel Weier and Helen Drury. Aunt, cousin and friend to many. 

Mary was a charter member of Gateway Christian Church in Town and Country. She was a volunteer at several hospitals where she lived and was active in Widowed Persons Services. Mary loved to write poetry and some of them are in the National Library of Poetry.

14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Friday, 10:00 a.m. Interment Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont, MO.
