Elsie R. Skelton, 98, of Princeton, passed
away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing
Facility in Princeton.
She was born May 7, 1915 in Coe, to Elbert
and Effie (Johnson) Ross.
She had worked for the Hansen Corporation and
at Holiday Home in Evansville. She attended services at First General Baptist
Church in Princeton and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary
#1147.
She is survived by daughter Elaine Stewart of
Owensville; four grandchildren: Mark (Sandy) Boling, Joanne DeKemper
(Tim Nelson), Michele Wilhite (Eric Donnelly) and
Kristina (Estie) Harper; nine great grandchildren;
nine great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband Bruce Skelton in 1984, granddaughter Dawnell Seay, two great grandchildren David Boling and Timothy Seay, and brother Harlan Ross.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on
Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Dr. Gene Siverly officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Hill
Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from noon until 3 p.m. on
Tuesday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
