Mary Mildred Pugh, 89 of Princeton, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Gibson General Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility.
She was born Feb. 6, 1924 in rural Princeton to Patrick
W. and Nancy Ada (Lampkins)
Woods.
She was a graduate of Princeton High
School
class of 1942 and had last worked for C.A.P.E. (Community Action Program). She
was a founding member of the Doodle-De Doers, Senior Rhythm Band. She also held
membership in the American Legion Auxiliary Post 25, V.F.W. Auxiliary Post
1147, Eagles Auxiliary Aerie 361 and the Gibson County Senior Center all of
Princeton.
Mary is survived by four
children, Jack Ray (Marilyn) Pugh of Tampa, Fla., Shelba
Jean King (special friend, Gene) of Portage, Stanley Wayne Pugh, Jr. (special friend, Cheri
Goldman) and Steven Patrick (Denise) Pugh both of Princeton; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and six great-great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; husband, Stanley Wayne Pugh, Sr. in 1982; a granddaughter, Misty
Jean King; a son-in-law, Jerry King and also five brothers, Herman, Shelby,
Ray, Charlie and Alva Woods.
Funeral services will be held
at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Bob McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery south of Francisco.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
