Harry Jan Hochstetler, age 78, of Oakland City, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital.

He was born on Sept. 21, 1934 in Elberfeld to the late Harry and Hazel Hochstetler.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Marie Hochstetler, sister, Ruth Ellen Adler, and brother, Donald Ray Hochstetler.

Harry spent many years in the field of electronics in television repair. He was a member of St. John’s Church of Buckskin, Indiana.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ellerbrook (Danny)of Oakland City; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Lashley (Charles) of Montgomery; granddaughters, Hannah Austill of Oakland City and Heleana Dersch of Oakland City; grandson, Kade Hochstetler of Montgomery; step granddaughter, Sarah Wickman; two step great-granddaughters, Gracie and Clara Wickman ; brother, John Hochstetler of Punta Gorda, Florida; sister, Ann Hayes (Donald) of Evansville; brother-in-law, Norwood Adler of Mackey; sister-in-law, Patricia Hochstetler of Evansville and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at St. John’s Church in Buckskin with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jason Ford will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to service time at the church. A dinner will be served after the burial at the church.
