William T. Hix, 88, a resident of Evansville since 1978, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Deaconess Hospice Center in Evansville.

He was born Oct. 29, 1924 in Princeton.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Hix of Evansville; five children, Barry Hix of Indianapolis, Leeta Scott of Seattle, Washington, William Cooley of Kissimmee, FL, Pamela Lunt of Greenwood, and Teri Monroe of Evansville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor George Prinzing officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Retired military veterans will provide military rites at the cemetery.
