Ellen Joan Funkhouser, 78, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Riverwalk Commons.

She was born on October 5, 1934 to Fleming and Bessie (Bacon) Bennett in Missouri.

Ellen was a Registered Nurse at Welborn Hospital in Evansville, IN, and retired in 1994, she was also a member of the O.E.S and Kappa Kappa Kappa, both in Princeton, IN.

She is survived by daughters, Teresa (Michael) Peil, and Ellen Funkhouser; son, Merle (Martha) Funkhouser; sister, Ruby Deskins; granddaughter, Sara Schmidt; and great-grandchildren, Justin and Kyle Hestand, and Nicholas Schmidt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Richard Funkhouser; and sisters, Mary Smith, and Audrey Bedwell.
