Sandra Sue (Woods) Showalter,
aged 72, died peacefully on April 20, 2013 in Zephyrhills, Florida after a short illness.
Sandy was born in Princeton on July 7, 1940 to Walter Edward and Sarah Jane Woods, who will be
greeting her in heaven.
Sandy graduated from Princeton High
School, and
in 1963 married Jerry Showalter. They lived in Mt. Carmel where she was a homemaker and they raised three
children. She also volunteered at her children’s school as a room mother for
each child, she was a life-long member of the PTA, and volunteered for several
other community projects.
Sandy is survived by her
husband Jerry Showalter; sons Tracy (Joann) Showalter and Cary (Kristen)
Showalter and daughter, Shea Showalter, all of Tampa,
Florida; and five granddaughters and two grandsons, as well as countless other
relatives and close friends who will miss her dearly.
Sandy loved her family, friends, grandchildren, and all
others that graced her presence. Sandy will be remembered for her great smile, devotion to
family and friends, and her ability to mother everyone she knew.
Visitation will be held at
the Chapel of Short Funeral Home on Saturday, April 27, 2013 starting at 10:00
a.m. with the service to directly follow at 2:00 p.m. and burial at Highland
Memorial Cemetery.
