M. Gene Creek, 87, passed away peacefully with his daughter at his side on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at West River Health Campus in Evansville.

He was born in Gibson County on April 11, 1925 the son of Herbie and Elsie (Williams) Creek.

Gene is survived by his daughter, Carla Nix of Evansville; grandsons, Eric Brown of Douglas, Ariz, and Chad Nix of Evansville; sister, Mabel Coddou; a niece and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jackie Creek; brothers, Marvin and Melvin Creek; sister, MargaretCreek.

Service will be on Friday at 2 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with the Donnie Mobley officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the service time at the funeral home.
