Dorothy Louise (Parker) Byerly, 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin.
She was a long time resident
of Franklin.
She was born on August 5, 1922 in Princeton to Joseph and Estella (Mason) Parker.
She married Richard Edward Byerly on Oct. 28, 1944. He preceded her in passing in 2003.
Survivors include her
daughter, Marie Michelle (Byerly) Stroud, and her
husband, Shawn, of Greenwood.
Dorothy was preceded in
passing by her parents, and siblings, Dora Drysdale,
George Parker, Paul Parker, Alton Parker, Helen Kelly and Audie
Mae Parker.
She was a graduate of Princeton High
School
class of 1940.
Dorothy was a cashier for
Capital Finance Co. in Princeton and later transferred to Columbus. She then became a secretary for Culligan
Water Conditioning in Franklin until her retirement in 2008. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Franklin. She was also
a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority as a young married woman. Dorothy enjoyed reading, especially poetry.

Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St., Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
Friday at the funeral home.
A committal will take place
at 3 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka.
