Michele Buck was promoted to Heaven Friday April 26, 2013

She was born
October 17, 1950 in Whiteland, Indiana to William Curtis and Peggy Jean Hicks.

Michele worked at Eli Lilly in
Indianapolis, Indiana until she met and married her Beloved husband, and best-friend Jim Buck, a retired high school teacher and farmer in Oakland City, Indiana where they currently have been residing for 39 years. Michele and Jim worked together on their farm and many lives were touched by them as they sold “mums & pumpkins” every fall to the community and surrounding area. People would drive for miles to get them.

Michele & Jim are blessed with 2 children: Kelly (Brad) Luedeke of Columbus, Indiana & Jason (Brooke) Buck of
Oakland City, Indiana. 5 grandchildren, Joshua Michael, Benjamin Andrew, and Ava Grace Luedeke, Ragan Lynne and Rhyan Laine Buck. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Nita Roberts of Akron, Ohio and Lisa Walters of Bargersville, Indiana, and 1 brother, Craig Hicks of Greenwood, Indiana. Several nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Curtis & Peggy Jean Hicks.

Michele is a member of the "Body of Christ". She worshipped and served, wherever the Lord sent her. Her life, here on earth could be described as a "Christian in Action" at all times. She was a warrior for Jesus Christ, and her desire was to lead everyone she met to Him. She did that without having to say a word. She was an intercessor and general as she prayed for leaders of all capacity, on a local, city, and state level, and across the nation.

Her smile was infectious to everyone she met, and her greatest joy was to serve her husband Jim, her children, her grandchildren, and the “Body of Christ”.

She was an advocate for the unborn with supporting the "Right to Life" here in Southwest Indiana, and also supported many local charities in her hometown of Oakland City, and the surrounding tri-state area.

Michele was Vice President of Kingdom Glory Ministries for 12 years, of which she was actively involved prior to her promotion to Heaven. She was instrumental in all facets, leading the charge in many areas of the ministry here in tri-state
Indiana, and in Liberia and Sierre Leone, Africa by supporting children who were left without parents after the civil war in recent years. She gave so freely, so they could live. Recently, the orphanage was named "GiGi's House" in her honor. She also supported children in Israel, and locally.

Her legacy will not only live throughout her children and grandchildren, here in
Southwest Indiana, but she has made an impact across the United States where she has planted much, all across the Globe. Like Jesus, she gave her life so that many could live.

2 Corinthians 9:6 - 9 - Remember this, a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully. ” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”
