Gerald G. Wright, 71 of Jasper, passed away  Monday, March 4, 2013 at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. 

 

Gerald was born in Owensville Oct. 8, 1941 to Vance and Mildred (Eagleson) Wright.

 

He married Nancy DeBoard on Nov. 26, 1966 in Princeton.

 

Gerald was a clerk and agent for Norfolk-Southern Railroad from 1967 until he retired in 1990. 

He was an Air Force Veteran and served in
Japan during the Vietnam War. 

He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Jasper, IN, and a member of Jasper Outdoor Recreation. 

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren and his dog Sophie.

Preceding Gerald in death were three brothers, Clifford,
Clyde, and Sharon David Wright, and one sister Iris Walter. 

Funeral services for Gerald Wright will be held at
10:00 a.m. on Saturday (March 9, 2013) at the Church of the Nazarene in Jasper IN, with burial to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Jasper IN. Pastor Darrell Wineinger and Pastor Steve Beck will officiate. The VFW Post #673 will conduct military gravesite rites.

2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, (March 8, 2013) at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper, and one hour before the service time at the Church of the Nazarene.
