Mark David Sloan, 51, passed Thursday, March 28, 2013 at his home in Princeton.

 

He was born Feb. 7, 1962 in Princeton to Harry S. and Flora Mae (Graves) Sloan. 

 

He was an Electronics Design Engineer. He graduated from P.C.H.S. in 1980 received a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Engineering from University of Evansville. He went on to get another Master’s degree in Computer Science from University of Illinois. He had lived in Princeton all of his life except while in college. He had attended the Lutheran Church

 

Mark is survived by his parents, Harry S. and Flora Mae Sloan of Princeton; two aunts and a uncle, Christine Pearson of Fort Branch and Lavada and Arlis Cundiff of Princeton, three nieces, Karen Paul and Peggy Becker of Fort Branch and Kathy Garrett of Johnson; several cousins including Gary Sloan and Glen Sloan of Princeton.

 

He was preceded in death by his brother Harry Samuel Sloan Jr.

 

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday April 1, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Rev. John Schmeling officiating. Burial will follow in the Decker Cemetery near Patoka.

 

Visitation will be from noon until service time on Monday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
