Helen Kairns
Havill, 92,
Helen’s spirit—her
essence—was caring, concern, and compassion for others before self. She devoted
her life to her husband, family, friends, church, and quietly living her faith
in God. Everyone who knew her felt, “The world needs more of Helen,” as a
friend recently said.
She was active for over sixty
years in First Presbyterian Church—as deacon, elder, session member, and
teacher as well as member and officer of the Presbyterian Women’s Association.
She also was active in many community groups—The Tourists, Sorosis,
Tri Kappa, and P.E.O.

She also was preceded in
death by her four brothers Tom, Bill, John, and Paul and her sister Erma.
Helen is survived by her loving children, Karen Elizabeth Havill
Bingham of Murfreesboro TN, Thomas Nelson Havill of
Indianapolis IN, and Debra Lynn Havill of Markleville IN; many loving nieces and nephews; three
sisters-in-law, Smelia (John) Kairns,
Betty (Bud) Havill and Pat (Paul) Kairns;
and by her beloved church family.
