Tiffani Renee (Fisher) Thomforde, 39, of Chicago, IL, formerly of Petersburg, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, IL. She was born in Frankfort, Germany, May 25, 1973 to Tom and Carol (Elliott) Fisher of Petersburg. She married David W. Thomforde and he survives. 

She was a 1991 graduate of Pike Central High School. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education in 1995 from Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, IL and later a Master’s degree in Administration from Concordia University in Chicago. She was an active participant of Education Thru Music of Chicago. She had been a music teacher for 16 years at Farnsworth Elementary School in Chicago, IL. 

She was also a member of Oakland City Church of the Nazarene. 

Surviving besides her husband, David Thomforde of Chicago, IL, are her parents, Tom and Carol Fisher of Petersburg; a brother, Matthew T. (Kaci) Fisher of Nashville, TN; a nephew, Hudson C. Fisher of Nashville, TN; maternal grandmother M. Elma Elliott; and a paternal grandfather, Thomas A. Fisher and his wife Lois Taylor Fisher of Vincennes, IN; four aunts, Paula A. Elliott of Chicago, IL, Marti Elliott of Indianapolis, Mary Ann (Larry) Eckman of Nashville, TN, and Kathy (Fisher) (Tom) Tipsword of Lawrenceville, IL 

Maternal grandfather, J. Curtner Elliott; paternal grandmother, Betty J. Fisher; and uncle, Robert C. “Bob” Fisher, preceded her in death. 

A memorial service was conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Park Community Church in Chicago, IL

A memorial visitation will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Oakland City Church of the Nazarene, with a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. with Rev. Darin D. Nossett and Rev. Larry C. Eckman officiating.
