John V. Poston Jr., 74 of Francisco, passed away Tuesday Feb. 12, 2013 at Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville,

He was born Jan 31, 1939 in Fairfax, Okla. to John V. and Vona (Whitson) Poston.

He was retired and had owned and operated an Antique shop in Dayton, Ohio. 

John had lived in Francisco for the past 20 years moving there from Dayton. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Dayton and was formerly a member of the Shrine. He enjoyed fishing and collecting antiques.

He is survived by his two sons, John W. Poston of Owensville and Jonathan Poston of Dayton; three grandchildren, Sonya Burns, Josh Poston and Alyssa Poston; one great grandchild, Masen Burns; and a special friend, Larry (Diane) Rainwater of Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Harry and Richard Poston.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday Feb. 17, 2012 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Bart Newton officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Francisco. 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon until service time on Sunday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
