Mildred C. (Market) Petitjean, 96 of Haubstadt passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 surrounded by her family and loving caregivers at The Heritage Center in Evansville.

Mildred was born
March 19, 1916 in Haubstadt to the late Philip and Helen (Greubel) Market.

She worked at Lakeview Truckstop and The Log Inn for over 25 years.  After retirement she was a caregiver for several families in the Haubstadt area.  She was a member of Daughters of Isabella Circle #151 for over 50 years and served as a Past Regent.  Mildred was a volunteer at the Owensville Convalescent Center for many years and enjoyed it very much.  She was an avid bingo and clabber player, and she loved to travel-even attaining her goal of visiting all 50 states.  She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt and served on their bereavement committee.  Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be missed by all.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Anthony G. Petitjean who died on
Sept. 25, 1959 and her eight brothers and sisters.

Surviving is her son, Herman (Norma) Petitjean of Haubstadt, three grandchildren; Anthony E. Petitjean of Haubstadt, Amy J. (Carl) Graff of Wadesville and Ann M. (Tommy) Dixon of Haubstadt.  Six great-grandchildren; Philip and Emilee Petitjean, Allison and Jackson Graff and Sydney and Jonathan Dixon.    1 great-great grandchild, Jadelynn Petitjean.

Visitation will be held from
2 to 7 PM Monday, February 11 at Wade Funeral Home in Haubstadt with a Rosary service at 4:00 PM.

Visitation will also be held from
10AM to 11 AM Tuesday at the church.

A Mass of Christian burial will be
11:00 AM Tuesday, February 12 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt.  Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery in Haubstadt.

Granny’s family would like to express our deepest thanks to all her wonderful caregivers at The Heritage Center.  Granny loved each an every one of you.
