James William Henager, 83, of Winslow passed away on Monday Jan. 14,
2013 at home.
James was born on July 29, 1929 in Evansville to Luther and Louisa A. (Woolsey) Henager,
both deceased.
He graduated from Stendal High
School, Oakland City College and Indiana State University. He taught 30 years in the Warrick County School
Corp. He enjoyed being with his students and fellow teachers. James spent two
years in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Knox, Ky.
On July 10, 1955 he married Helen Rosalie Bailey, and they has a great life together teaching, traveling and collecting
antiques.
He is survived by his wife of
57 years, Helen Henager.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon
on Saturday,
Jan. 19, 2013 at Corn-Colvin
Funeral Home, Oakland City.
Graveside Services will
immediately follow at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at Spurgeon Cemetery in Pike County, officiated by Rev. Terry Beadles.
