Donald Eugene Davis
“Donnie”, 71, of Princeton passed away on Monday,
Dec. 10, 2012 at IU Health Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis after a four-month
battle with Severe Acute Pancreatitis.
He was born Dec. 12, 1940. He was the former owner of Crickett’s
Lunch Room and The Palace, both in Princeton.
Donnie enjoyed spending
time with his family and grandkids, cooking, drinking coffee with friends and
driving his Willy’s Jeep around town. His contagious laugh, humor and pranks
were enjoyed by all.
He is survived by
his wife of 7 years, Sandy Davis. They were married Nov. 25, 2005. Surviving along with his wife are two
daughters, Kelly Davis of Evansville, Trish Haan
(husband Doug) of Lafayette, two stepsons, Willie Ingle of Hazleton and Josh
Ingle of Princeton, five grandchildren, Jensen, Kory,
Nathan, Kamren and Kendyl;
brother Charlie Davis (wife Gail), sisters, Betty Ward, Marge Lanman (husband Jim), Carrol
Brown (husband Bud), Darlene Lutz (husband Mike) and brother-in-law, Alan
Douglas. He also had 11 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews and
several great great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in
death by his parents Russell “Crickett” and Mary
Davis, sister Brenda Douglas, brother in law Bill Ward
and granddaughter Janessa Kempf
Funeral services
will he held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Fort Branch, with military rites.
Visitation will be
from 4 until 8 p.m.
Friday at Colvin Funeral Home.
